Odisha Hydro Power Corp Signs MoU with WAPCOS for Pumped Storage Project

The Odisha Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Water and Power Consultancy Services (WAPCOS) Ltd for project management consultancy services related to the 600 MW Upper Indravati Pumped Storage Project (UIPSP) at Mukhiguda in Kalahandi district.

The MoU was signed on Friday in Bhubaneswar in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Development Commissioner Anu Garg. WAPCOS, a central government enterprise, had earlier prepared the detailed project report for the UIPSP.

This partnership aims to ensure effective project management and timely execution of the pumped storage venture, which is expected to boost Odisha’s renewable energy capacity and contribute to the state’s power infrastructure development.
