Odisha Signs Agreement to Operate Hydrogen-Powered Buses
In a significant step towards sustainable transportation, Odisha has signed a tripartite agreement to launch a green hydrogen mobility project. The agreement was signed on Monday by Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) managing director Tirumala Nayak, Grid Corporation of Odisha Limited (GRIDCO) managing director Trilochan Panda, and NTPC CGM M R Panda, in the presence of Odisha Deputy Chief Minister K V Singhdeo and Housing and Urban Development minister K C Mohapatra.
The initiative aims to implement hydrogen-powered buses over the next five years, promoting eco-friendly and sustainable public transport solutions. The project will focus on reducing carbon emissions and enhancing the state’s commitment to clean energy.
