Odisha Governor, CM Express Grief Over Train Accident in West Bengal

Odisha Governor Raghubar Das and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi have expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of 15 passengers in the Kanchanjungha Express train accident in West Bengal on Monday.

In their statements, both leaders conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. Governor Das stated, “I am deeply saddened by the unfortunate loss of lives in this tragic incident. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families during this difficult time.”

Chief Minister Majhi echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the state’s solidarity with West Bengal in the wake of this tragedy. “This is a heartbreaking incident, and our hearts go out to the families affected by this tragedy. We stand ready to provide any necessary assistance to the victims and their families,” he said.

Adding to the condolences, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also expressed his grief over the accident. Patnaik stated, “I am deeply saddened to hear about the loss of lives in the Kanchanjungha Express train accident. My deepest sympathies are with the families of the deceased, and I pray for the swift recovery of those injured.”

The accident, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, has left many families in mourning. Authorities in West Bengal are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the derailment, and rescue operations are ongoing to ensure the safety of all passengers.
