Odisha CM Mohan Majhi Meets PM Modi, Discusses State Development in Delhi
Bhubaneswar, July 12 : Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday and held discussions on a range of development-related issues concerning the state. This marks CM Majhi’s first official meeting with the Prime Minister since assuming office, underscoring his commitment to building a strong partnership with the Centre.
During the meeting, CM Majhi expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for his continued support towards Odisha’s progress. The two leaders reportedly discussed key developmental strategies, future collaborations, and ways to strengthen coordination between the state and central governments to accelerate Odisha’s growth trajectory.
“On this occasion, important discussions were held regarding various developmental activities in Odisha, future strategies, coordination between the Centre and the state, and accelerating the state’s overall progress. The Centre and the state are committed to working together to achieve the goal of a prosperous Odisha and a developed India,” CM Majhi posted on social media platform X following the meeting.
The visit reflects the state government’s proactive approach in aligning Odisha’s development agenda with national goals. Political observers view the interaction as a significant step toward deepening Centre-State cooperation on infrastructure, employment, and welfare initiatives.
Majhi, who is currently on a tour of Delhi, is expected to meet other Union Ministers and officials to discuss ongoing and proposed projects aimed at boosting the state’s economic and social development.
