Odisha CM Invites HCL to Set Up Operations in State
In a bid to strengthen Odisha’s digital and industrial ecosystem, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended an invitation to HCL Technologies to establish operations in the state. The proposal was made during the Odisha Investors’ Meet held in New Delhi on Monday.
The Chief Minister, during his address, highlighted the state’s growing potential as a business hub and encouraged HCL Technologies to contribute to Odisha’s development journey.
“We visited the HCL Tech campus in Noida and engaged in productive talks with their team. We have invited HCL Tech management to Odisha, specifically to Bhubaneswar and the Jagannath temple in Puri,” Majhi said.
He added that a formal proposal has been extended to HCL for the establishment of a tech campus and a university in Odisha, with the aim of boosting local employment and promoting innovation.
The move is seen as part of the state government’s broader strategy to attract major IT and technology firms, diversify the economy, and position Odisha as a preferred destination for investments in the knowledge and services sectors.
Officials believe that the entry of HCL Technologies could catalyze further interest from other industry leaders and contribute significantly to the state’s growth narrative.
