INOX Solar Gets Land for Odisha Plant

INOX Solar Secures Land from Odisha Government for 4.8 GW Solar Module Manufacturing Plant
In a significant move towards boosting India’s renewable energy infrastructure, the Odisha government has allocated a land parcel to INOX Solar for setting up a large-scale solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Dhenkanal district.
INOX Solar, a subsidiary of INOX Clean Energy under the INOXGFL Group, announced on Tuesday that it will establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant with a capacity of 4.8 gigawatts (GW) for both solar cells and modules.
The upcoming facility is poised to play a pivotal role in supporting India’s renewable energy goals and accelerating the country’s transition to green energy. It is also expected to contribute significantly to the industrial development of Odisha by attracting clean energy investments and generating employment opportunities in the region.
“We are committed to contributing to India’s self-reliance in solar manufacturing. This project marks a major milestone for INOX Solar as well as for Odisha’s renewable energy ambitions,” the company said in a statement.
The strategic location of Dhenkanal, combined with policy support from the Odisha government, makes it an ideal choice for the large-scale green energy project. The development aligns with India’s broader push for domestic solar manufacturing under various central schemes, including the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme.
With this development, INOX Solar further strengthens its position in the domestic renewable energy landscape while reaffirming its commitment to sustainable industrial growth.
