Odisha CM Warns Criminals, Promises Tough Measures
BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi issued a stern warning to criminals on Saturday, urging them to mend their ways or face severe consequences. Addressing the assembly during a debate on the Home Department’s budget, Majhi emphasized that his government was prepared with “alternate means” to deal with criminal activities if necessary.
Majhi criticized the previous BJD government for the increase in crime rates, asserting that the current law and order situation in the state is under control. He attributed the rise in criminal activities to the previous administration’s lack of political will and failure to empower the police force.
The Chief Minister assured that the state police are fully capable and committed to maintaining order, highlighting the improvements made under his administration. Majhi’s remarks signal a tough stance on crime and a commitment to strengthening law enforcement in Odisha.
