Odisha CM Assures Continuity of State-Sponsored Schemes
BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi assured the Assembly on Thursday that there are no plans to discontinue any state-sponsored schemes. Majhi’s confirmation came in response to questions from senior legislators Ranendra Pratap Swain (BJD) and Taraprasad Bahinipati (Congress).
In a written statement, Majhi clarified that the Planning and Convergence Department has not received any proposals to end existing schemes. This reassurance addresses concerns about the future of key initiatives such as the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) and the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY), both of which were introduced during the previous BJD government’s tenure.
Majhi’s statement was aimed at quelling apprehensions regarding the continuity of these welfare programs, ensuring that beneficiaries and stakeholders can expect ongoing support.
