Odisha: Clash Between Two Groups in Bhadrak, Four Injured, Prohibitory Orders Imposed
At least four people sustained injuries following a violent clash between two groups in Bhadrak district on Thursday, officials confirmed. The altercation took place in the Godipokhari village, under the jurisdiction of Dhusuri police station, in the morning.
Tensions flared after a religious flag belonging to one community was allegedly torn the previous night, leading to the outbreak of violence. In response, district authorities swiftly imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC in the affected area to prevent further escalation and restore peace.
Law enforcement personnel have been deployed in the region to maintain order. “We are closely monitoring the situation, and efforts are being made to ensure that peace prevails,” said a senior district official.
As of now, the condition of the injured is stable, and they are receiving medical treatment. Authorities have urged people to remain calm and avoid any provocative actions. Investigations are ongoing to identify those responsible for instigating the conflict.
