The 9th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog commenced here on Saturday, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The meeting’s primary focus is on advancing India towards becoming a developed nation by 2047. Key objectives include fostering participative governance and enhancing collaboration between the central and state governments. The Governing Council, which is the apex body of NITI Aayog, comprises all state chief ministers, lieutenant governors of Union Territories, and several Union ministers. As the chairman of NITI Aayog, Prime Minister Modi is steering the council’s discussions and strategies.
