PARIS: Indian sports administrator Nita Ambani was re-elected unanimously as a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) during the 142nd IOC session held in Paris on Wednesday, ahead of the upcoming Paris Olympics.
Ambani secured her position with a 100 percent vote, reflecting widespread support from IOC members. In her statement, she expressed gratitude, saying, “I am deeply honoured to be re-elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee. I would like to thank President Thomas Bach and all my colleagues in the IOC for their faith and trust in me.”
