Commodity prices in Bengaluru remained mixed, with rates varying across foodgrains, pulses, spices, vegetables, edible oils and other essential commodities.
Rice prices were quoted at Rs 7,000-8,500 per quintal for fine variety and Rs 6,200-6,900 for medium variety. Jowar was priced at Rs 3,500-4,500 per quintal, while wheat was available at Rs 3,900-4,800.
Among pulses, toor dal was quoted at Rs 9,800-13,800 per quintal, green gram dal at Rs 9,800-11,000, black gram dal at Rs 10,800-17,800 and Bengal gram dal at Rs 7,800-9,800.
Coriander seed prices stood at Rs 19,000-23,000 per quintal, while fine chilli was quoted at Rs 44,000-54,000. Turmeric prices ranged between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000, and tamarind between Rs 11,000 and Rs 16,000.
Vegetable prices included Rs 1,000-2,200 per quintal for big potato, Rs 4,000-5,000 for big onion, Rs 3,000-4,000 for medium onion and Rs 2,000-3,000 for small onion. Garlic was priced at Rs 8,500-26,000.
Jaggery cube was quoted at Rs 5,900-6,500 per quintal, while jaggery ball stood at Rs 6,400-6,800. Sugar prices ranged from Rs 5,900 to Rs 6,400.
Among oilseeds, mustard was priced at Rs 10,800-14,000 per quintal, gingelly at Rs 16,500-18,500, groundnut seed at Rs 14,000-15,000 and copra at Rs 32,000-36,000.
Groundnut oil (10 kg) was quoted at Rs 1,680-2,080, coconut oil at Rs 2,550-3,120 and gingelly oil at Rs 2,350-4,420. Ghee (5 kg) was priced at Rs 3,300-4,000.
Horsegram was quoted at Rs 6,000-6,800 per quintal.
