The Odisha government on Tuesday announced development projects worth ₹50,000 crore aimed at boosting infrastructure, creating massive employment opportunities, and accelerating economic growth across key districts of the state.
The projects span crucial sectors including expressways, railways, green energy corridors, urban water networks, specialized healthcare hubs, and industrial clusters.
"These transformative initiatives will transform Odisha into a premier destination for investment and improve quality of life across our urban and rural communities," the Chief Minister remarked during the high-level steering committee briefing.
Key Highlights of the Blueprint
- High-Speed Coastal Highway: A six-lane connectivity route connecting Gopalpur, Puri, Paradip, and Dhamra.
- Semiconductor & Clean Tech Corridor: Dedicated manufacturing zones near InfoValley in Bhubaneswar.
- Expansion of Specialized Healthcare: 5 new 500-bed super specialty hospitals in tribal heartland districts.
- Renewable Energy Targets: 10 GW solar and green hydrogen production parks.
State officials confirmed that phase-1 land acquisition has achieved 92% clearance, and construction tenders will be disbursed in consecutive quarters to adhere to tight project delivery milestones.
