Senior human resources leaders from more than 80 organisations gathered at Mementos by ITC Hotels in Udaipur on September 25 and 26 for the second edition of XLRI’s Metamorphose 2026.
The two-day conclave focused on the changing nature of work as organisations increasingly adopt artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. Discussions centred on how companies can redesign teams and roles to work alongside AI-driven systems and how workplace structures may evolve as technology takes on a larger share of organisational tasks.
A key focus of the conclave was the changing nature of accountability and organisational hierarchies. As technology becomes more integrated into business processes, organisations are examining how responsibilities should be distributed between people and automated systems.
The event also highlighted the challenge of preparing leaders for skills that are still evolving. HR leaders discussed the need for organisations to build adaptable workforces and leadership capabilities that can respond to rapid technological and workplace changes.
The gathering brought together senior HR professionals from diverse organisations, providing a platform to exchange perspectives on workforce transformation, leadership development and the future of organisational structures.
The discussions at Metamorphose 2026 underscored the continuing importance of human interaction and collaboration even as technology reshapes the workplace, highlighting the role of physical spaces in enabling meaningful professional engagement.
