New Mangaluru Port Welcomes Seven Seas Voyager
The New Mangaluru Port Authority (NMPA) marked another milestone in its journey as a global cruise tourism hub by welcoming the luxury cruise ship Seven Seas Voyager on Friday. Operated by the Norwegian Cruise Line, the Bahamian vessel is the second cruise ship to arrive this season.
Seven Seas Voyager docked at the port at 6:30 AM and departed at 5:30 PM, carrying 650 passengers and 450 crew members. Measuring 206.5 meters in length and boasting a gross registered tonnage (GRT) of 42,363, the ship highlights the growing popularity of New Mangaluru as a key destination for international cruise liners.
The ship is currently sailing the Arabian Sea, with an itinerary that includes stops at Fujairah, Mumbai, Goa, New Mangaluru, and Cochin, before concluding in Colombo. According to the NMPA, this visit underscores the port’s capability to handle luxury cruise vessels and its commitment to boosting regional tourism.
“Welcoming Seven Seas Voyager reflects our continuous efforts to position New Mangaluru as a preferred port for global cruise tourism,” an NMPA official stated.
The port’s strategic location and world-class facilities continue to attract prestigious cruise operators, enhancing its reputation on the international stage.
