Massive Rallies Held Across Odisha to Raise Awareness on Subhadra Scheme

In a remarkable display of support and awareness, thousands of women and girls took to the streets across Odisha on Wednesday, participating in the ‘Subhadra Rallies’ aimed at spreading information about the financial assistance scheme for women.

According to officials, these awareness rallies were held at 6,794 locations across the state, including panchayats, blocks, municipalities, and major urban centers like Bhubaneswar. The initiative saw an overwhelming response, with women from diverse backgrounds actively participating in the processions.

The Subhadra Scheme, launched by the state government, is designed to provide financial aid to women, empowering them economically and promoting their well-being. Through these rallies, the government sought to educate women about their entitlements under the scheme and encourage more beneficiaries to come forward.

Officials stated that the large-scale participation reflects the growing awareness and enthusiasm among women regarding government welfare programs. “These rallies are not just about spreading information but also about mobilizing women to take charge of their financial independence,” said an official overseeing the campaign.

The initiative is part of a broader effort by the state government to ensure that welfare schemes reach every eligible woman, particularly in rural and remote areas. More such awareness drives are expected in the coming weeks to ensure maximum outreach and impact.
