Majhi credits workers for Nuapada victory

BJP’s ‘historic’ Nuapada bypoll victory due to workers’ effort, says Odisha CM Majhi

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday dismissed allegations by the BJD and Congress of “vote chori”, manipulation, and booth rigging in the Nuapada Assembly bypoll, asserting that the BJP’s sweeping win was the result of hard work and organisational unity.

Speaking at a party meeting, Majhi said the BJP’s “historic” victory—where candidate Jay Dholakia defeated his nearest rival by more than 83,000 votes—was driven by the relentless efforts of party workers, coordination among leaders, and a flawless electoral strategy.

“Our workers and leaders played a pivotal role in securing this massive mandate. We are thankful to the people of Nuapada for their overwhelming support,” Majhi said, adding that he would soon visit the district to personally express his gratitude.

The Chief Minister’s remarks come amid opposition accusations of electoral malpractice, which the BJP has strongly refuted.
