KIMS Launches Advanced CO2 Laser Equipment for Bloodless ENT Surgeries
Bhubaneswar – The Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) on Thursday inaugurated a cutting-edge CO2 laser machine designed for ENT and cancer surgeries, marking a significant advancement in surgical care.
The state-of-the-art equipment was unveiled by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT, KISS, and KIMS. This advanced technology is among the most sophisticated tools available for microsurgeries in the ENT field and cancer treatment.
Dr. Kabikanta Samantaray, Head of the ENT Department at KIMS, highlighted the laser’s wide-ranging capabilities, including its use in complex vocal cord and voice surgeries. He emphasized that the CO2 laser allows for highly precise and bloodless procedures, especially effective in treating cancers of the tongue, cheek, and vocal cords at both early and advanced stages.
“The use of this laser technology ensures better surgical outcomes and faster recovery for patients,” Dr. Samantaray said.
The hospital has made laser-based treatments available round the clock, ensuring continuous care for patients requiring these advanced procedures.
With increasing demand for minimally invasive laser surgeries, KIMS aims to enhance patient quality of life by offering precise, safe, and efficient treatment options, according to Dr. Samantaray.
This latest addition strengthens KIMS’s commitment to providing world-class healthcare facilities in Odisha and beyond.
