Kapil Sharma film to re-release

‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2’ to get January re-release
New Delhi, Dec 27 : Kapil Sharma’s comedy film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, which hit theatres on December 12, is set for a re-release in January 2026, the makers announced on Friday.
The decision to re-release the film comes after its initial theatrical run was affected by limited screen availability. While industry reports suggested that its box office performance was impacted due to competition from other releases, the film’s PR team did not name any specific title in its official statement.
In a press note, the makers said the film received positive responses from audiences and critics but could not reach a wider audience due to constraints in screen allocation. “The film opened to positive responses from audiences and critics alike; however, its theatrical run was impacted by limited screen availability due to ongoing multiplex takeovers by other releases,” the statement said, as cited by Sacnilk.
Despite the limited run, the makers noted that the comedy-drama struck a chord with viewers. “Even with limited screens, Kapil Sharma’s Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 managed to entertain audiences and revive the franchise’s charm with its light-hearted comedy and situational humour. Considering the continued excitement among fans, producer Mr. Ratan Jain has decided to re-release the film in January 2026,” the note added.
Directed by Anukalp Goswami, the film stars Kapil Sharma in the lead role, alongside Ayesha Khan, Manjot Singh, Parul Gulati, Tridha Choudhury and others. The makers are expected to announce the new release date in the coming weeks.
