Jio AirFiber Crosses 2 Lakh Subscribers in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Sept 2 : Reliance Jio has achieved a major milestone in Odisha as its 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) service, Jio AirFiber, crossed 2 lakh subscribers by July 2025, consolidating its position as the state’s leading digital service provider.

According to data, Jio AirFiber holds 83% of Odisha’s 5G FWA market share with over 2.11 lakh users. In July alone, the service added 16,775 new subscribers—the highest among operators in this category.

Jio AirFiber has been particularly impactful in rural and semi-urban areas, helping overcome last-mile fiber connectivity challenges. The service offers high-speed broadband, unlimited Wi-Fi, 800 TV channels, 11 OTT apps, and more, driving digital inclusion across the state.

Reliance Jio also emerged as the top performer across wireless, wireline, and 5G FWA segments in Odisha. Together, Jio Fiber and Jio AirFiber now power more than 5.58 lakh homes and establishments.

In the wireline segment, Jio leads with over 50% subscriber share and 3.47 lakh JioFiber users—more than double its nearest rival. In July alone, it added 12,898 new wireline subscribers, accounting for 73% of all new connections in the state.

As per TRAI data, Jio further strengthened its lead in the mobile segment, adding 59,000 new subscribers in July, taking its base in Odisha to 1.64 crore users with a 46.4% market share. Meanwhile, competitors Airtel and BSNL recorded subscriber losses during the same period.

With this performance, Jio has cemented its position as Odisha’s No.1 digital service provider, driving connectivity and digital transformation across the state.
