IOA Chief Usha Briefs Sports Minister on Olympic Preparations
Newly-appointed Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya took stock of India’s preparations for the upcoming Olympics during a meeting with Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President P T Usha. The meeting, held in New Delhi, also included Minister of State for Sports Raksha Khadse, Sports Secretary Sujata Chaturvedi, and Sports Authority of India Director General Sandip Pradhan, among others.
Mandaviya, who assumed office recently, succeeded Anurag Thakur following the new NDA government’s formation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting lasted over an hour, focusing on India’s readiness for the Paris Games.
Discussions highlighted key aspects of India’s Olympic preparation strategy, underscoring the ministry’s commitment to supporting athletes and enhancing their performance on the global stage.
