IndiGo Expands Codeshare Partnership With KLM

IndiGo Expands Codeshare Agreement with KLM to Boost Global Connectivity

IndiGo, India’s largest airline, on Wednesday announced the expansion of its codeshare agreement with Dutch carrier KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, significantly enhancing its international connectivity through Amsterdam.

Under the extended agreement, IndiGo will now place its airline code on KLM-operated flights to 30 destinations across Europe, the United Kingdom, and North America, the airline said in an official release. The move is expected to provide seamless travel options for Indian passengers flying via Amsterdam.

“This expansion will further strengthen our international presence and allow greater accessibility to passengers traveling to and from India,” IndiGo said, adding that the codeshare enables efficient connections and a wider global network.

The announcement follows IndiGo’s recent launch of non-stop flights between Mumbai and Amsterdam, marking a key step in its global expansion strategy.

A codeshare agreement allows airlines to sell seats on each other’s flights, offering customers more choices and smoother transfers between carriers. Through its collaboration with KLM and other global partners, IndiGo continues to widen its reach beyond Asia, offering greater convenience and flexibility to travelers.

The airline stated that bookings under the expanded codeshare agreement will be available soon through its website and other authorized channels.
