India’s Yoga Sangam Hits 50,000 Registrations

India Celebrates Historic Milestone as Yoga Portal Crosses 50,000 Registrations for Yoga Sangam 2025
In a remarkable display of unity and wellness, India has set a new benchmark for collective health efforts as the Yoga Sangam portal surpasses 50,000 registrations for the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) on June 21, 2025. The event, themed “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” underscores India’s leadership in promoting holistic well-being across the nation.
Rajasthan leads the charge with over 11,000 organizations registered, making it the top contributor among Indian states. Telangana and Madhya Pradesh follow closely with more than 7,000 and 5,000 registrations respectively. The surge in participation includes institutions such as IITs, IIMs, central universities, corporates, and private organizations, reflecting widespread commitment to health and wellness.
This year’s decentrally organized celebrations aim to foster community engagement, with the Ministry of Ayush encouraging citizens to host yoga sessions from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM on June 21. Participants can register via the official Yoga Sangam portal (yoga.ayush.gov.in/yoga-sangam), conduct their sessions, and upload participation details to receive certificates of appreciation.
With over 100,000 locations expected to participate across the country, the event exemplifies India’s dedication to promoting yoga as a universal tool for health. This collective movement not only celebrates India’s rich yoga heritage but also emphasizes the importance of global unity in fostering a healthier planet.
The Ministry of Ayush invites all citizens, institutions, and communities to join this nationwide celebration, emphasizing that together, we can breathe, move, and thrive for a better, more harmonious world.
