India’s Maheshwari-Naruka Pair Misses Bronze by a Whisker in Skeet Mixed Team Event

CHATEAUROUX (FRANCE): The Indian shooting duo of Maheshwari Chauhan and Anant Jeet Singh Naruka narrowly missed out on a bronze medal in the skeet mixed team event, finishing fourth at the Paris Olympics on Monday.

In a closely contested battle, Maheshwari and Naruka scored 43 points, just one point behind China’s Yiting Jiang and Jianlin Lyu, who secured the bronze with a score of 44.

The Indian pair had earlier tied for fourth place in the qualification rounds, both teams scoring 146 out of 150 shots over three rounds, necessitating a shoot-off to determine the finalists.

Despite their strong performance, Maheshwari and Naruka were edged out in the final stages, leaving them just short of the podium.
