Indian golfers eye end to title drought

Indians eye title drought end at Open
Indian golfers Shubhankar Sharma, Rayhan Thomas and Yuvraj Sandhu are aiming to end the country’s long wait for a home winner at the Hero Indian Open.
The last Indian to win the prestigious title was S. S. P. Chawrasia in 2017, when the tournament was first held at the Gary Player-designed course in Gurugram. Since then, no Indian has managed to reclaim the national open crown.
Among the current contenders, Shubhankar Sharma stands out as the only Indian in the field with a DP World Tour title. Despite not winning on the circuit since early 2018, he appeared confident and focused ahead of the tournament.
All three players expressed determination to make the most of home conditions as they set their sights on ending the title drought and lifting the trophy this week.
