Indian Navy to Lead Tri-Services Exercise ‘Trishul’ 2025 with Army and Air Force

The Indian Navy, in coordination with the Indian Army and Indian Air Force, is set to conduct Tri-Services Exercise (TSE-2025) “Trishul” in early November 2025. The large-scale joint military exercise will take place across the creek and desert sectors of Rajasthan and Gujarat, extending into the North Arabian Sea.

Headquarters Western Naval Command will spearhead the exercise, which aims to strengthen joint operational readiness, validate integrated procedures, and enhance inter-service synergy in a multi-domain operational environment.

The exercise will involve participation from the Army’s Southern Command, Navy’s Western Naval Command, and Air Force’s South Western Air Command. The Indian Coast Guard, Border Security Force, and other central agencies will also join in significant numbers, reinforcing inter-agency coordination.

A major focus of Trishul 2025 will be on amphibious and maritime operations, including large-scale deployment of Indian Navy warships, Indian Air Force fighter jets and support aircraft, and amphibious manoeuvres involving the Indian Army and Navy’s amphibious units such as INS Jalashwa and Landing Craft Utility (LCU) vessels.

The exercise will validate joint Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Cyber Warfare plans, along with coordinated carrier operations between the Indian Navy and Indian Air Force assets.

Reflecting the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, the exercise will also demonstrate the operational integration of indigenous platforms and systems developed within India’s defence ecosystem.

Emphasizing adaptability to evolving threats, Trishul 2025 will refine techniques and procedures suited to contemporary and future warfare. The tri-services exercise underscores the collective resolve of the Indian Armed Forces to operate as an integrated force, bolstering national security preparedness and joint operational capability.
