India GCCs to Boost Hiring FY26

India’s Global Capability Centres to Expand Workforce in FY26: Report

India’s Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are poised for significant talent expansion in FY 2025–26, with a majority of HR leaders projecting a sharp uptick in hiring, according to a new report.

The report, titled “Cracking the Growth Code for GCCs in India”, was jointly released by Taggd, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and JLL India. It draws insights from over 100 GCCs spanning multiple sectors, highlighting strong hiring sentiment and workforce growth plans.

According to the findings, 48% of GCCs are expected to increase hiring in FY26, while another 19% plan to maintain the current hiring levels seen in FY24. The positive outlook underscores India’s continued attractiveness as a global hub for innovation, technology, and business services.

“India’s skilled workforce, growing digital infrastructure, and innovation ecosystem are encouraging more GCCs to expand their presence and talent base in the country,” the report noted.

The GCC sector in India has evolved into a strategic asset for global enterprises, offering services ranging from IT and analytics to R&D and product engineering. With this expansion, India’s position as a leading destination for global talent and capability development is set to strengthen further in FY26.
