India and US Wrap Up Two-Day Trade Talks, Agree to Sustain Positive Engagement

India and the United States on Thursday concluded a two-day round of trade discussions in New Delhi, during which both sides exchanged views on a range of ongoing trade-related matters. According to commerce ministry sources, the conversations included progress on negotiations toward a mutually beneficial bilateral trade agreement.

Officials described the talks as constructive, noting that both countries agreed to maintain the current momentum of “purposeful and positive” engagement. The discussions aimed to address existing trade concerns, explore opportunities for deeper economic cooperation, and strengthen the framework for future negotiations.

The US delegation was led by Deputy Trade Representative Rick Switzer, who met with senior Indian officials to review priority areas and explore pathways to resolve pending issues. The conclusion of the meeting signals the continued commitment of both nations to deepening economic ties and advancing bilateral trade relations.
