Heavy Rain Likely Across Odisha Till July 28

IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall Across Odisha Till July 28
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast warning of heavy rainfall in several parts of Odisha until July 28, as a fresh weather system builds over the Bay of Bengal.
In its mid-day bulletin released on Wednesday, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre said a cyclonic circulation, which is a remnant of tropical cyclone WIPHA, is likely to develop over the north Bay of Bengal within the next 24 hours.
Under its influence, a low-pressure area is expected to form in the region, potentially triggering widespread rainfall activity across Odisha over the next several days.
The IMD has alerted local authorities to remain prepared for possible waterlogging, flash floods, and disruption of daily life in vulnerable areas. Fishermen have also been advised not to venture into the sea during this period due to rough conditions.
District administrations in coastal and interior Odisha have been put on high alert, and disaster response teams are being mobilized as a precautionary measure.
