Bhubaneswar – Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Railways, and Electronics & Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, unveiled the Government of India’s 2025 Calendar at Rail Bhawan today. The calendar, themed “Janbhagidari se Jankalyan” (Public Welfare through Public Participation), celebrates a decade of transformative governance under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The event, attended by Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting, Dr. L. Murugan, and senior officials, showcased the government’s commitment to inclusive and participatory development.

Celebrating Transformative Governance

As India enters the 11th year of transformative governance, the calendar highlights the nation’s progress across various sectors, from women’s empowerment to infrastructure development. Designed by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), the calendar goes beyond marking days and months, serving as a visual narrative of the government’s initiatives and achievements.

Shri Vaishnaw emphasized the role of public participation in programs like Swachh Bharat Mission and Ayushman Bharat, which have significantly impacted the lives of millions. “The strength of our nation lies in the collective energy and efforts of its people,” he remarked.

Key Themes and Messages

Each month of the calendar is dedicated to a specific theme, reflecting India’s journey of progress:

  • January-April: Focus on agriculture, women empowerment (Shakti), and youth capacity building.
  • May: Highlights cleanliness with the motto “Inner purity leads to outer cleanliness.”
  • July: Promotes wellness with “Exercise is the surest recipe for wellness.”
  • August: Independence Day-themed page emphasizes healthy living and long life.
  • October: Salutes the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on Unity Day.
  • November: Celebrates Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, honoring tribal heritage.
  • December: Showcases technological innovation with “The future holds limitless possibilities.”

Inclusive and Accessible Design

Published in 13 Indian languages, the calendar ensures accessibility for diverse linguistic and cultural communities. Distributed across gram panchayats and public institutions, it aims to connect with citizens at the grassroots, highlighting flagship programs and inspiring collective participation in nation-building.
