Four Wagons of Goods Train Derail in Odisha; No Injuries Reported

In an unexpected incident, four wagons of a goods train derailed near Kantabanji station in the Sambalpur Division of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Friday night, officials reported. The derailment, which occurred around 10:50 PM, caused a temporary disruption of train movement on both tracks.

Senior railway officials promptly arrived at the scene to assess the situation and begin the investigation. Despite the significant disruption to rail services, there were no injuries reported. The prompt response of the railway team ensured that services were restored by 7 AM on Saturday, minimizing further inconvenience to passengers and freight operations.
