Air India Flight Passengers Endure Delay and AC Failure on Delhi-San Francisco Route
Passengers of Air India’s AI 183 flight bound for San Francisco faced distressing conditions as the aircraft’s air-conditioning system malfunctioned, causing discomfort and prompting some passengers to faint. The Boeing 777, originally scheduled to depart at approximately 1530 hours on Thursday, experienced a significant delay of around six hours, finally being rescheduled for Friday.
Approximately 200 passengers were onboard the flight, enduring prolonged waits both onboard and in the aerobridge. According to reports, passengers expressed frustration over the extended delay and the uncomfortable conditions exacerbated by the non-functional air-conditioning system.
Air India officials have yet to comment on the specific issues faced by passengers, but the incident underscores challenges in maintaining passenger comfort and operational efficiency during extended delays.
