Fog disrupts Delhi airport flight operations

Delhi airport hit by fog: 110 flights cancelled, over 370 delayed
Air traffic at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport was severely disrupted on Sunday as dense fog and low-visibility conditions led to the cancellation of 110 flights and delays to over 370 services.
Airport officials said that 59 arriving flights and 51 departing flights were cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, which impacted flight operations throughout the day.
Data from flight tracking website Flightradar24 showed that more than 370 flights were delayed, with the average delay for departures standing at around 26 minutes. Several passengers reported inconvenience as airlines struggled to manage schedules amid fluctuating visibility levels.
Winter fog has become a recurring challenge for flight operations in the national capital, often leading to cancellations and delays during early morning and late evening hours. Airlines and airport authorities advised passengers to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport.
