First Session of 18th Lok Sabha Scheduled from June 24 to July 3, 2024

New Delhi: The inaugural session of the 18th Lok Sabha is set to commence from June 24, 2024, and will continue until July 3, 2024, as announced by Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju. This session marks the beginning of the parliamentary proceedings for the newly elected members of the lower house.

Key activities planned during this session include the oath or affirmation ceremony for the newly elected Lok Sabha members, the election of the Speaker, and the address by the Hon’ble President of India, followed by discussions on the President’s address.

Additionally, the 264th session of the Rajya Sabha will convene from June 27, 2024, and will also conclude on July 3, 2024, ensuring simultaneous legislative activities in both houses of the Parliament.

This session holds significance as it sets the stage for legislative deliberations and policy discussions crucial for the nation’s governance and development agenda.
