Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced the operation of special trains to facilitate pilgrims traveling to the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, scheduled for 2025. These trains aim to provide convenient connectivity from various cities in the region to the sacred city.
Key routes include:
- Bhubaneswar – Tundla – Bhubaneswar: Departs at 12:30 PM on Wednesdays (Jan 1, 8, 22; Feb 5, 19, 26).
- Puri – Tundla – Puri: Departs at 12:30 PM on Mondays (Jan 6, 20; Feb 17).
- Titilagarh – Tundla – Titilagarh: Departs at 12:30 PM on Thursdays (Jan 9, 16, 23; Feb 6, 20, 23).
- Visakhapatnam – Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn – Visakhapatnam: Departs at 5:35 PM on Thursdays (Jan 9, 16, 23; Feb 6, 20, 27).
- Visakhapatnam – Gorakhpur – Visakhapatnam: Departs at 10:20 PM on Sundays (Jan 5, 19; Feb 16).
All special trains will pass through Prayagraj, ensuring direct access for pilgrims attending the Maha Kumbh Mela, one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.
