EaseMyTrip Responds to Maldives Booking Controversy
EaseMyTrip CEO Nishant Pitti has addressed the recent uproar over the resumption of flight bookings to Maldives via the platform. Admitting to “some bookings” occurring between May 16-26, Pitti affirmed that the company promptly removed them.
The response follows queries from Kerala Congress on social media platform X, raising concerns over EaseMyTrip’s earlier decision to withdraw Maldives bookings as a gesture of support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Pitti reiterated EaseMyTrip’s commitment to a “nationalistic approach,” emphasizing that their stance remains unwavering. The controversy highlights the delicate balance companies navigate between business interests and political sensitivities.
