Indian athlete DP Manu triumphed at the Taiwan Open 2024 by clinching the gold medal in the men’s javelin throw event held in Taipei. Manu achieved a remarkable throw of 81.58 meters on Saturday, marking his best performance in his final attempt.

The silver medallist at the Asian Athletics Championship, Manu started with a throw of 78.32 meters, followed by 76.80 meters in his second attempt before reaching his winning distance. The Taiwan Open, categorized as a World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze-level meet, provides significant ranking points for athletes.
