Diksha, Pranavi Make Joburg Cut

Diksha Dagar, Pranavi Urs Make Cut at Rain-Hit Joburg Ladies Open
Indian golfers Diksha Dagar and Pranavi Urs made the 36-hole cut at the rain-hit Joburg Ladies Open, even as challenging weather and tough conditions tested the field at the Modderfontein Golf Club.
Diksha carded rounds of 71 and 73 to sit at even par, finishing the second round in a respectable T-22 position. Pranavi, who had a strong opening round of 70, slipped with a 77 on Saturday, yet managed to make the cut at T-56.
The tournament, played on the Par-73 course, saw inconsistent play due to weather interruptions. Despite that, Diksha held steady while Pranavi scrambled to stay above the cut line.
It was disappointment, however, for fellow Indians Avani Prashanth (77-74) and Tvesa Malik (77-79), both of whom failed to make the cut after struggling over the two rounds.
The weekend rounds will see Diksha and Pranavi carry Indian hopes forward as they aim for strong finishes in the Ladies European Tour event.
