CAB to Honour Richa Ghosh with Gold-Plated Bat and Ball for World Cup Heroics
The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) will honour India’s star wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh with a gold-plated bat and ball at a grand felicitation ceremony to be held at Eden Gardens on Saturday, celebrating her exceptional performance in India’s historic Women’s World Cup 2025 triumph.
Richa played a pivotal role in India’s victorious campaign, scoring 235 runs in eight innings at an impressive strike rate of 133.52, the highest in the tournament. Her consistency and aggressive batting placed her among India’s top five run-getters.
The specially crafted bat and ball will bear the signatures of cricket legends Sourav Ganguly and Jhulan Goswami, symbolising Bengal’s pride in Richa’s achievements.
CAB officials said the honour recognises Richa’s “outstanding achievements and invaluable contribution to Indian cricket,” as she continues to inspire the next generation of women cricketers from Bengal and across the country.
