Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Thama’ to Light Up Theatres This Diwali 2025

Ayushmann Khurrana is all set to headline Thama, an upcoming horror-comedy slated for a grand Diwali 2025 release. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under the Maddock Films banner, Thama also stars Rashmika Mandanna in a pivotal role.

The film, which marks Khurrana’s first major festive release, has been described by the actor as the “biggest release” of his career. Speaking about the festive timing, Khurrana expressed his excitement, saying, “For me, Diwali is about togetherness, it is about family and it is about having the best community experience by spending time with your friends. So, it feels amazing to have a big Diwali release with Thama. It is the biggest release of my career and I’m really eager to spread joy, happiness and laughter with the entire country with this one.”

Thama continues Maddock Films’ successful run in the horror-comedy genre, joining the ranks of previous hits like Stree, Bhediya, and the upcoming Munjya. The film introduces a fresh vampire narrative to the studio’s horror-comedy universe, with Khurrana playing the titular role. His pairing with Rashmika Mandanna adds a fresh dynamic to the film’s cast, generating considerable buzz among fans.

Known for blending humor with the supernatural, Maddock Films is aiming to offer a unique theatrical experience with Thama, promising laughter, scares, and festive cheer.
