Ashok Leyland Ltd, a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, announced on Monday that it has secured a substantial order for 2,104 fully-built buses from the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC). This order represents the largest single procurement of fully-built buses in MSRTC’s history.

The buses, designated as ‘Viking’ passenger vehicles, will be produced at Ashok Leyland’s dedicated bus body plants. This partnership underscores Ashok Leyland’s commitment to enhancing public transportation in Maharashtra while providing high-quality vehicles tailored to the needs of the state.
