Amit Shah hails Modi for unity

PM Modi fulfilled Sardar Patel’s dream of unity: Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fulfilled Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s dream of a united India by abrogating Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, thus completing the vision of national integration that Patel began after Independence.
Speaking at the ‘Run for Unity’ event at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi on the occasion of Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, Shah paid rich tributes to the Iron Man of India and lauded his unmatched role in unifying the nation.
“After Independence, India was left divided into 562 princely states. The world believed it was impossible to integrate them. But Sardar Patel, with his determination and vision, made it happen,” Shah said, crediting Patel for laying the foundation of a strong, united India.
The Home Minister added that the revocation of Article 370 in 2019 by the Modi government was a historic step that completed Patel’s mission of unification. “Prime Minister Modi fulfilled Sardar Patel’s dream of a completely unified nation by integrating Jammu and Kashmir fully with India,” he asserted.
Thousands of participants, including youth, police personnel, and members of civil society, joined the Run for Unity, celebrating Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day).
Shah also urged citizens to draw inspiration from Patel’s life and work towards strengthening India’s unity, integrity, and sovereignty, calling Patel’s legacy a guiding force for generations to come.
