Air India has marked a significant milestone in its history with the international debut of its flagship A350 aircraft, accompanied by a revamped onboard experience named “Vista Verve.” This launch mirrors the airline’s historic flight on June 10, 1948, when the Malabar Princess made its inaugural journey from Mumbai to London aboard a Lockheed Constellation 749A.

The A350, the first new aircraft type introduced by any Indian airline in over a decade, represents a bold step forward for Air India. Amid criticisms of its ageing fleet, the introduction of these state-of-the-art planes signals a potential turning point in the airline’s transformation under the Tata Group, which took ownership in January 2022.

The “Vista Verve” experience promises enhanced comfort and service, aiming to elevate the overall passenger journey. As Air India embarks on this new chapter, it seeks to reclaim its position in the competitive international aviation market, starting with the iconic route to London.
