Adani’s Dharavi Project Gets New Name
Dharavi Redevelopment Project Pvt Ltd (DRPPL), the Adani-backed company spearheading the ambitious redevelopment of Dharavi slums, has announced a rebranding. The company will now be known as Navbharat Mega Developers Pvt Ltd (NMDPL).
This name change reflects the company’s evolving vision and commitment to building a modern, inclusive, and vibrant community in Dharavi.
“The name Navbharat Mega Developers is rooted in the company’s commitment to growth, change, and hope,” the company stated in a press release. “This rebranding exercise has received the approval of the Board of Directors and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.”
The redevelopment of Dharavi is one of the most significant urban renewal projects in India. The project aims to transform the densely populated slum area into a modern mixed-use development with improved infrastructure, housing, and amenities for residents.
