Ambedkar neglected by non-NDA governments, says Odisha CM Majhi
Bhubaneswar, April 14: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday alleged that B. R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, was neglected and ignored by previous non-NDA governments.

Addressing a state-level function marking Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, Majhi said that the recognition and respect accorded to Ambedkar have significantly increased after Narendra Modi assumed office as Prime Minister.
“Ambedkar was neglected and ignored by the previous non-NDA governments. His fame and respect have been re-established after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister,” Majhi stated.
The Chief Minister paid rich tributes to Ambedkar, highlighting his immense contribution to nation-building and social justice. He said Ambedkar’s ideals continue to guide the country in ensuring equality, empowerment, and inclusive development.
Majhi also emphasized the importance of spreading awareness about Ambedkar’s vision among the younger generation, urging people to uphold constitutional values in everyday life.
The event was attended by several ministers, public representatives, and officials, who joined in commemorating Ambedkar’s legacy and reaffirming their commitment to his principles.
