Delhi can lead Viksit Bharat vision

Delhi can set an example in realizing the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’, said Manjinder Singh Sirsa, highlighting the importance of better infrastructure and effective policies in driving national development.

Sirsa, who holds the portfolios of Environment, Industries and Food Supplies in the Delhi government, said on Tuesday that the dream of a developed India will be achieved when the capital itself becomes Viksit.

Speaking at the ‘Delhi State Annual Session 2025-26 and Business Conference’ organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the minister stressed the need for collaboration between the government and industry to build a future-ready Delhi.

He highlighted that combining policy reforms, infrastructural development, and active participation of the business community can help the city emerge as a model for other states in achieving the national goal of Viksit Bharat.

The minister’s remarks underscored Delhi’s potential to lead national development initiatives, setting a benchmark for urban governance, sustainable growth, and economic progress in the coming decades.
