IndiaAI Summit Sets AI Pledge Record

IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026 Enters Guinness World Records for Massive Responsible AI Pledge Drive

The IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026 has secured a place in the Guinness World Records for achieving the highest number of pledges for the responsible use of artificial intelligence within a 24-hour period.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by Guinness World Records adjudicator Pravin Patel, who confirmed that an unprecedented 2,50,946 pledges were recorded during the summit — far surpassing the initial target of 5,000 pledges.

The large-scale pledge drive was aimed at encouraging students across the country to commit to the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence technologies. The initiative saw participation from schools and colleges nationwide.

Union Minister for Electronics and IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw, credited the achievement to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“It was the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi because of which we reached out to schools and colleges for the pledge for responsible use of AI,” Vaishnaw said.

The milestone highlights India’s growing emphasis on ethical AI development and digital responsibility among youth. The summit brought together policymakers, industry leaders, educators, and students to discuss innovation, governance, and the future of artificial intelligence in the country.

Officials described the record-setting pledge drive as a significant step toward fostering awareness and accountability in the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem.
