Odisha CM Majhi, BJD President Patnaik Mourn Demise of Maharashtra Dy CM Ajit Pawar
Bhubaneswar, Jan 28 : Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and former Chief Minister and BJD President Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday expressed deep grief over the tragic demise of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a plane crash.
Expressing shock and sorrow, Chief Minister Majhi said the sudden passing of Ajit Pawar was “extremely saddening and heartbreaking.” He described Pawar as a brilliant politician and a dedicated public servant who made significant contributions to public life.
Taking to social media platform X, Majhi wrote, “In this time of profound grief, I express my deepest condolences to his bereaved family, colleagues, and the people of Maharashtra. I pray to Lord Jagannath to grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to the grieving family to bear this irreparable loss. Om Shanti.”
Former Odisha Chief Minister and BJD President Naveen Patnaik also expressed profound grief over the tragedy. In his message on X, Patnaik said he was deeply shocked and saddened to learn about the passing away of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and the co-passengers in the aircraft crash near Baramati.
“Heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and supporters. Om Shanti,” Patnaik tweeted.
Leaders across party lines have been expressing condolences over the tragic incident, mourning the loss of a senior leader and extending support to the bereaved families.
