Nimrat Kaur Marks 10 Years of ‘Airlift’, Shares Gratitude

Actor Nimrat Kaur on Thursday celebrated the 10th anniversary of her acclaimed film Airlift, sharing a series of nostalgic pictures from the sets and expressing gratitude for the journey.

Taking to Instagram, Kaur posted film posters along with behind-the-scenes moments from the 2016 blockbuster, which starred Akshay Kumar in the lead and was directed by Raja Krishna Menon.

The film, based on India’s largest civilian evacuation, depicted the rescue of around 1.7 lakh Indians from Kuwait during the 1990 Iraqi invasion, led by businessman Mathunny Mathews.

Kaur, who played Amrita Katyal in the film, wrote that the gratitude for being part of the project “keeps growing with time,” as fans and colleagues poured in congratulatory messages to mark the milestone.

Airlift remains one of the most critically acclaimed films in her career, praised for its gripping narrative and performances.
