SAI Invites Applications for 323 Coaches

SAI Launches Mega Recruitment Drive for 323 Assistant Coaches

In a major push to strengthen athlete support and coaching infrastructure, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) has launched a nationwide recruitment drive to fill 323 assistant coach positions across 26 sporting disciplines.

The recruitment aims to bolster SAI’s Centres of Excellence (COEs), National Centres of Excellence, Regional Centres and Training Centres across the country. Disciplines such as shooting, athletics, swimming and wrestling are expected to be among the biggest beneficiaries of the drive.

According to SAI, 33 per cent of the total vacancies are reserved for women, underlining the organisation’s commitment to promoting gender representation in sports coaching.

In its latest notification, SAI said the selection process will follow a structured two-stage methodology. Candidates will first appear for a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by a Coaching Ability Test (CAT) to assess practical coaching skills and subject knowledge.

The recruitment drive is part of SAI’s broader effort to enhance high-performance training and provide quality coaching support to athletes preparing for national and international competitions. Interested candidates have been invited to apply as per the guidelines outlined in the official notification.
